After 3 refresher and 2 video elite classes in 1 year, the most important thing I have learned was how the Dice were supposed to look when they landed.
When I returned from Vegas in October I had confidence ( borderline cocky) in my toss, and my Dice reflected my confidence. Slowly my confidence dwindled as I tinkered with this and that and my dice would occasionally look perfect as I expected each throw to be. ( I showed my kids some of the things that helped me and their throw looked better than mine ). This lack of confidence and the tinkering took over at the casino table, my mind was adjusting each toss, not just doing what came natural from a good practice, but rolling over from my inconsistent practice.
Yesterday morning I realized that my problem was overthinking the toss. I picked up the dice and went through the toss without thinking about each step and bam, my dice were glued together, hitting together, landing within 2” of each other, exactly the way my dice had looked when I returned from Vegas.
Trip report. I assume from the previous confession that you would expect a great report from my visit to the casino yesterday. That did not happen.
I took the dice 3 times yesterday morning. Each time going up on 4 numbers and the a 5-2,4-3,4-3 seven out
Yesterday evening I threw 2 times with the exact same results. 5 throws and I never repeated a number.
The good thing is I still have my confidence even though the results were bad my dice looked good and I’m ready to go back and try again.

If we were to make a suggestion—and we will—watch your betting. You may want to limit yourself to 2 or 3 numbers rather that the 5 you mentioned—especially during your first roll of a new session at the table. When you see you are doing well you can go to more numbers. Also don’t bet much at all on the chicken feeders. Just a suggestion that may help. Be patient. As Finesse says you don’t want (expect???) to make money on these CF’ers, you want to make money on yourself and other control throwers.
Look forward to seeing you and your group in that little Oasis in Northwest Louisiana next month.

If an Instructor said this, Finisher, it meant that a hardways set finished on-axis with a double pitch, as opposed to an off-axis 6-1 or 1-6…
I’m presuming the swing mechanics and other aspects of the throw looked good, the dice didn’t richochet off the side walls. etc., when the instructor(s) said this.
Regardless, you’re right, Finisher. With any 7, the roll ends and the dice would move on in the casino.

We just had a long session with Dom this fall. It was a tune up, but extended
because there were 3 of us .
To be honest i am not sure what i expected with the class with Dom, but in his
way, what he helped me with was exactly what i needed.
I had and i expect many others have spent so much time working on the perfect
roll, and then expecting it to be good every night and on every table no matter
how different the tables were that the game had started to be more like work and
less like fun, and some of the rolls worse, not better.
I had retired because work had become to much work and no fun and now what i
had retired to play more of…well you get the drift.
With Dom if you had a 7 out and you have an 8 SRR well your then going to get a
16 roll sooner type thinking, put more fun back in the game and even if the roll
was not perfect, but i repeated numbers it was a win rather than a loss because i
was more worried about the perfect roll.
And a funny thing happened, the less i worried about the good roll, the more good rolls
i had and i have had fun since the tune up including some real fun evenings including
the past Wednesday and Friday nights which were tons of fun.
We dont have to be perfect to win, and playing relaxed and with confidence, just like in
any other sport allows us to be as good as we can be.

NFR and BTK saying reach out like the Heisman ,don’t drop your thumb, make sure your dice are square to the table. Randman giving me pep talks in my left ear as I prepared to toss, settling me down, talking me through the toss, Goldfinger saying hit the back wall, do not throw short.
And Dom saying TRUST YOUR THROW.
I do love throwing dice again, I don’t care to do it by myself at the casino much anymore. Its a little like catching a big fish if there is no one to show it to, who cares. 😆
Thanks GMAN

Don’t think play and have a good time, Have 3 or 4 hands, take a break and then go have 3 or 4 hands again. Analyze your sessions after you have stopped playing, not during your session.
Tommy, I know you will successful, keep at it don’t give up. Remember one important thing –
