Australian businessman James Packer says his US$600 million (MOP4.8 billion) investment in the City of Dreams is now worth US$6.2 billion, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.

At an annual general meeting in Sydney today, the Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd co-chairman said the company was among the biggest Australian joint ventures in China.

The Crown Ltd executive chairman said gaming revenue at the company’s two Australian operations was in line with last year, while non-gaming revenue was 10 percent higher.

The company has plans to build a casino-resort in Sri Lanka and is developing a site in Manila.
