Gtcers who took the classes spent that money and did not learn shit.
They do not know when to bet.
they do not know where there bets are on the table.
They do not know when to buy in, i do not care if it is a cfer or gtcer you form good habbits by always and i mean always
buying in when the puck says off.
They bring friends to the table and do not hip them to the late betting thing as to not slow down the roll.
When they are standing next to you they can not stay off the phone.
They can not stand next to you still for a second so you can throw the dice.
They bring there friends to the table but there friends just stand back and so they are like a cat on a hot tin roff bouncing back and forth between the table and talking to there friends
They come to the table on no sleep so they can not help the team.
Being good enuff to play with but not good enuff to go to eat with after i drove in to hang with you.
Just wanting to gamble and not make money.
Coming in to play and not getting a phone call.
I can not tell you how many good hands i have had latley that my team mates that i was playing with just could not do the simple things.
I was once told be very carfull who you play with i did not listen i have played with all that have asked and help any who wanted it but this is causing me to much grief.
So if you are playing with me please abide by our code show some form of self respect for yourself by proving that you might of listened to the leasons in class and not just pissed your money into the wind, or don’t it is your choice, mine is to as DBR would say to me crawl back under my rock LMAO.
Now one question do you think when you are playng in a group and the box person have multiple throws to look at does the person who can make this throw work and i mean bounce hit the wall and die attract more attention to there self as a possible threat to the casino than they would if they where by themselves?
Yes there are many of you who have been a joy to play with, but some of you do not care, maybe if you have been told you can not play here any more you would care.
I have very mixed feel ings on this post to because the callibur of people that i have meet through gtc is of the greatest, when we are not at the table they are the cats meow.
Now what bothers you?

It is strange to look around when I am rolling to see one side of the table so different then the other. My side is with no hard way bet or people with hands out and after awhile they start telling the others at the other end about their hands. So some times actions speak louder then any words.
If you stop meeting with people that do not go by your way they will get it.It may take a little time but either they will change or you will be better off with out them. Just my thoughts.
I myself prefer rolling alone but did enjoy rolling with my family one time. We all had a great time and won some too.
I too have feeling like yours but say vary little to people.I can leave any time that I want to but really stay at playing too long. Most of the time I never see a person that rolls the GTC way at the tables. If I see them I would never say any thing at the table.
The late bye in does not bother me as much as the hands in the way of the roll.I will try not to roll till the chips are in the rail.So some times I will not pick up the dice and just look at the dealer and the stick will take the dice back to the middle.
I realize that the game is going to change in timing no matter what. The longer the roll the more bets , more time.
I will be giving you a call soon so I hope that I can roll with you soon. But you you change your mind about rolling with others I will not take it personal.
ALL the GTC ers that I have meet are great. I have only rolled with a few. I have heard lots of comments about GTC TYPES from dealers but said nothing and just let them think I did not know what they were talking about. The shoes are a hot subject.
I just love it when a dealer that may be 23 at most says to me . New at this I see and I just say I am willing to learn. L IN SIDE.
Craps 101 when you point your fingers to show were you bet and the dice hit them every time.
Good Rolling.

It’s a short list as during the roll I’m usually in a zone….but…when the waitress taps me on the back in the middle of all of this and pulls me out, well yes that does get to me.
People that don’t get their late bets in early…
People that talk or try to talk to you- the shooter, right when you’re getting ready to throw…
This one local who migrates from table to table like a rat searching for food. Often he tries to squeeze in between SL1-2 or Sr2-3 We handle him though…
Getting the 6/8 loaded up, bets sitting right where we like them, staged for the next press, and the dreaded bad guy shows up…. 🙁
Being called Section Eight at the tables by anyone within our family…Most who know me know I will cash in and simply walk away…
Having No Field Five throw a ton of 10s to the point I’m sitting one roll away from table max on the 10…..and he never throws another 10….what a tease! ;-). J/k D! What a great roll that was!!!
Anyone that bothers ANY of my teammates when they are throwing….I love throwing with these guys because everyone, first are friends, but everyone does the right things and follows the 20 Commandments.
Not too much else…..one must not let too much bother them at the table….it’s a mental thing and you must overcome it or learn to ignore/filter out the bad stuff…….at least while you have the dice. 😀

SectionEight

I have not been with GTC very long, some may say to long ..laughing… but i have played the game craps since i
was 28 and i am now 63….
I am truly sorrry i was not smart enough to see that you could learn to roll the GTC way sooner… but thats life you
take it as it comes.
After about a year or so into GTC i found that i was getting irritated at what happened at the table… late bets,
throw off the table again and again…. foolish betting, talking to me…i should not have to put up with this, i am a much better craps player than all those people….it was not fun. i dont know how many times i left the table in
disgust…. craps was no longer fun.
What happened…… what happened is i changed… the folks at the table did not change…. they are "never"
going to change…so now what…. it is now clear to me that even if i dont want it to be so, i am going to
play most of the time with people other than GTC members….., you cant take trips every week .. i take my throw deadly serious, but the other stuff… that is the other stuff.
Now what i have tried to do is not take things to the table that bother me…
1… best friend is a terrible loser… why did we go here, why did we go to that table on and on….
he is still a good fishing friend, i dont play craps with him any more.
2…We have one crew that trys to make fun of every 7 out a dice controller has… i dont play there
3…i get upset when i go to play somewhere to meet some one and they dont show up
4…I used to play craps during the work day when i was in the area…. that was not good for
my concentration
5…my job is to get my mind right….before i play
I dont know what works for others… for me..it is just being me.. take things as they come
dont get upset….just one of the boys that throws different.. i think i throw better, but that
is just my opinion…. lately when i go to the table, a couple guys get there as fast as they
can….. they bet wrong, they bet late they throw the dice off the table….but they came to the table
because they now respect my throw and that is the throw the folks at gtc taught me…
i think that is a compliment.

Play your game, bet your way, get in your zone and don’t sweat the things you have no control over.
Posted by: Skinny on May 9, 2012, 3:32 pm
On rare occasions a sudden motion (late bet, stick wave, etc) directly in my line of sight may cause an involuntary reflex flinch. That is nature taking over which I can not control. Hence the word involuntary. But I can count on one hand the number of times an involuntary reflex action has happened.
But everything else that goes on around me is within my control to ignore or block out. I can be aware of my surroundings and avoid most of the pitfalls. I can stay focused and keep disturbances out of my head. A free throw shooter has to make the shot, under pressure, with the fans waving objects and shouting at him. Quarterbacks make throws knowing they are going to get crushed by someone heavier and stronger than them when they release the ball.
This is a physical and mental endeavor not much different from most other sports. Once one has the physical element fairly well ingrained, the mental aspect becomes the most significant aspect of the toss. One needs to work on the mental just as much if not more so than the physical. I am solely responsible for what goes on in my head.

Go to "World We Live In" on this web site and read the post by Stephen C. titled "Stress Relieving Technique". Now in Step #7 where it says liberal Socialist Democrat substitute the name or description of the person or persons that are bothering you at the Craps table. 😎
By the time you get done smiling and/or laughing it will be time to throw again and you won’t even notice that the time between throws was different than the last and you will be relaxed. 😆
Seriously, there will always be clowns at the table since the Craps table is just a microcosm of the world and each person sees the world a little differently and is motivated in different ways. I’m not saying they are right but you can either deal with it or walk away. Those are the only two choices I see when dealing with the public in any capacity.
Just my two cents worth!

Well said Getagrip. There are a lot of wise people on this board with an abundance of life experience they are willing to share for the benefit of all.

While at the PH we (myself, dealers and the table) started anouncing "Quiet on the Set" while the dice were being pushed to me and everyone was nice and quiet waiting on that next winning number to hit. It is a movie/tv theme hotel you know. Good times & rolls there.

I agree with much of what has been written. Different strokes for different folks, methinks.
It seems what bothers some doesn’t bother others.
I find it annoying if the crew’s cross-talking about their problems, private lives, work gossip, etc., interferes with the table and game running smoothly. In fairness, I do realize their job must be incredibly boring at times.
But that’s not MY problem. Managing and growing my bankroll is…! When the crew are distracted and careless to the point of not placing bets properly, missing payouts or needlessly slowing down the game, it bothers me…
But being at the tables with my teammates or good friends are the times I enjoy the most. We are usually very lighthearted, laughing, giving each other fist bumps and high-fives when a point or high-paying bet is paid.
These are also the times when I’m most consistent and likely to have my best rolls.
We’ll offer each other private, quiet, calming words of encouragement: "Great shot!" "Well done" "Don’t change a thing" "You’re dialed in," etc.
Or, we’ll keep things light by citing lines from movies such as Caddyshack – "Be the ball, Billy… Billy, Danny… whatever." Always good for a laugh…!
I have to admit that we’ll also often marvel privately with each other and offer words of praise about God’s handiwork… Admittedly, this seems to happpen most often when an attractive woman or cocktail waitress wanders by… 😉
Perhaps that we are upbeat, lighthearted and positive at the tables, as opposed to being waaay too serious and negative, says it best…
My teammate Dice Pilot and I "ham & egg" it with each other like it is a symphony. We know each others shots very well and can tell when one or the other is getting dialed in and into the zone. We can quietly suggest minor fixes or tweaks to each other if needed, and feel thankful and not threatened when receiving the advice.
Dice Pilot is especially good at striking up a conversation with the crew, box, pit or whoever to divert attention and scrutiny away from me (or our other teammates and friends) when shooting. Knowing my teammate and a good friend is there "watching my back" is comforting and instills confidence. Of course this works both ways and has now reached the point where it becomes automatic when needed…
I’ve learned to accept that there are always going to be idiots, drunks and fleas at the tables. At least they’ll be there more often than not… Realizing and accepting this has helped my ability to tune it all out and focus on the task at hand.
But for me, having an upbeat atmosphere at the table is everything. The sessions that are lighthearted, positive and fun are also the times when my teammates and friends most often excel…

It is wonderfull to know that i am not the only one with issues, thank you for all the sugestions to help get buy this.
So if i am at the table throwing and you see me with both hands over the rail looking like i am holding somthing under water drowning it i am, lmao.
No seriuosly i have given this much thought i must paly two different ways .
One when i am showing people around i must watch until i know they will abide by the rules just because i am showing you around and watching you doesn’t mean i need to throw.
Two this is the time to play i must be light hearted as the dream team modo is , and must only play with those that follow the rules so i can achieve this goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now i know there are many more of you out there with complaints voice them help us all learn that is what we are here to do.

Especially coming from one who believes that the chinese fire drill is okay.

We had one of these jokers in AC trying to impress his girl by heckling us. We had Pitt Boss, Timmer, myself and Bill Burton at the table and this jerk was telling us that our shots looked off and that we all attended the same dice school. I warned him that the don’t pass was a bad idea. Timmer and I worked his chip stack down from 2k down to $500. Pit Boss finished him off with a point of 5 which I was hopping 3/2 and 4/1 to really piss him off. After this guy busted out and walked away in shame, we all waved goodbye.
Memories to live a lifetime.

"Lois and Clark" wrote: Two people sharing one bankroll at SL1 and 2 and skinning up for their throw is hardly a definition of a chinese fire drill.
Lois
Sharing a Bankroll: I assume SL1 shoots and after the 7-out, SL2 takes the dice. The same pool of chips is used for both players. Unless the casino has a problem with it, I don’t see how that would bother me in particular, or anyone else at the table.
Skinning Up: I assume SL1 shoots, then makes space for SL2. Again, I can’t figure out how that would bother me or anyone else… My notes, which I took in class, have Frank saying that both he and Dom shoot from SL1. He explains that he just takes a step back and pretends to stretch his legs, or stands sideways and keeps one hand on the rail while Dom takes SL1 to shoot. My notes then have Dom, who spoke right after Frank, explain that if he’s the one at SL1, he will simply take a step back and puff on his cigarette, and tell the crew that the smoke bothers Frank. Long explanation simply to say that Dom and Frank Skinny Up to take advantage of the best spot to shoot… and I really don’t see how that would bother anyone!! 🙄

The chinese fire drill in dice goes like this two or more people change places entirely, this was a problem at one time because the house doesn’t like it due to the fact that it makes it hard to keep track of play at the table.
We used to have people starting at stick 1 whatever and when they where done they would move themselves out completly chips and all, and go to 3 or 4 and stick 2 whatever would move to one and shoot this would continue until the person at one had moved back to one waiting for the dice to come around again.
Example If you are standing at at stick one you had sevened out you moved you and your bankroll to two swaping positions with him and after he sevens out you move you and your bankroll back to one, this would constitute a fire drill, but if you just moved back and did not move your money this would not be a fire drill, sliding back a little for someone to shimmy up to you is standard practice in gtc

Another self-taught guy I play with, Mort, likes to shoot right handed from stick right and either of us that has position one will step back for the other. JBW and Goldfinger and I have done that as well and there has been no problem here.
One of the great things about Colorado’s casinos is there is no smoking. You have to go outside to smoke and some casinos have outdoor decks for smokers. So much nicer since that became the law.

Also pit people that are just plain jerks. ON my last trip, there was 4 kids at the table, and they were having a good time throwing the dice and making points and cheering for themselves and others at the table. The pit when a big buy in came, stuck his hand out in their face and said, "Stop! What do you think this is, a football game?" Just plain rude! I left and as I was leaving I said I was going to find a football game
