Observations from Vegas

Spread the love

What a great class weekend. The new and improved GTC has gotten better all year long. The students could not have been better. Yes, some did need a little more work that others but all came to learn and learn they did. Next year should be even better—–so if you have any interest at all in the primer class, refreshed class, advanced class, tune up, or elite video. get your name in early as many places will go quickly.

Now for some stories from the tables. We count each and every roll but don’t make any read records as many do, but here are a few stories from the peanut gallery. The beautiful Alligator and Doc arrived late on Tuesday. Not much to happen that day. But on Wednesday we hit the tables early. It was a typical baptism with some ups and down. Took a break and boom Rose rolls a pretty 25 and I followed with a 28—money to be made for all. Later in the afternoon a 34 was rolled yy the old Doc with Rose having several in the high teens. There were a couple of other GTC players who had some nice hands as well.

Thursday morning was to be a little of a downer and then it was to the class hotel for setup.

For those in Vegas on Friday, you missed a great open house. We had people coming in all day long as the tune ups and elite video were taking place. That night the meet in greet was very entertaining as well. We were not in the casino much during the weekend.

I don’t remember which night, but I think Sunday night, LouisA got stick right and I though he would roll forever. A beautiful 39. Doc had several number "double dipped" with come and place bets. Rose colored up with 7 portraits of Ben Franklin and old Doc had 6. Don’t you just hate it when your spouse bests you!!!!!!!! Monday was up and down all day with the basic result up a few portraits of Ben as well.

One of the most fun things we did on Monday night had nothing to do with throwing dice or playing in the casinos. One of the students, Millie the Filly (as I have decided to name her) decided to head to a video poker machine. Shortly thereafter Alligator Rose head that way as well. When Doc decided to leave the table he went that way. We pulled up chairs and simply visited. Pretty soon here came Goldfinger, then Mr. Millie the Filly, Steve the Tech expert and his wife with the beautiful smile and another student whose handle I don’t know. We sat around talking and laughing and talking and really having a great time–this lasted well over an hour. I’m telling you that this is GTC at its finest. Winning is always great fun–as it is in any game–but being with these outstanding people is what GTC is all about. Rose and Doc would not take anything for these people.

We wish each and every member of this board a very happy holiday season, a prosperous New Year and look forward to many trips together next year.
