It’s been a long three month since the Vegas class, and I have not pracited much. Aside from throwing the dice a few times here and there.
It’s really startling how much out of shape, yes the weight too, but I’m talking about the toss here, I got by not having a serious practice routine.
So last Saturday we got together at Ronnie B’s house along with Boxcar Boris and Tommy two Names to start the practice routines.
Now I’m at the table every day just practicing my toss. Making sure that the grip is straight across, that the dice are landing softly, that they are coming back from the wall together and end up in the same axis. Then doing a session with chips to try some different betting techniques. And lastly, getting rid of everything on the table and just toss and record the rolls to try and see where the advantage is.
The last part of the practice routine is probably the most important. Recording the rolls then analyzing it against the standard deviation tells me whether I have an edge or not and where the edge is, and most importantly, weather the edge is consistent from day to day, week to week.
I know that by the time I get to Vegas in October, I will be very confident. Now, my toss may be off when I get to Vegas, but I will be able to correct or see the problem. This is where the practice and consequent confidence helps.
See y’all in Vegas!

It was a real treat having you Tommy two names and Boxcar Boris over. I feel like its on the job training with benefits. You are all welcome any time.
Will be trying my skills next week. Been practicing hard lately and my throw is looking pretty good.
I have been practicing the GTC way for 15 months now. I really like to practice. Lately I have been focusing on the grip. I always have a pair of dice in my pocket in case I have a moment, I can reach for them and just hold the with enough pressure so the fall out.
Hope to see you all next month.

What is all of this practice stuff? Do we need to practice, don’t we practice when we play.
I think not. Practice is what it is all about if you are going to take this game serious. I think that if you are going to put your money on the line you better take Practice serious.
After I was reborn in January to rededicate myself to GTC, I have started my journey back to becoming the best shooter I could be. Practice is done every day in some form or another.
Grip for sure every day. When I practice my toss I have even started using my case that I stand on and I have started using it in the casino again. What a difference this case makes in my toss. I am standing about 2 inches higher and this gets me out over the table more. I can toss the dice the way we teach and my 401G can see the difference.
So Practice is the name of the game as I have always said. Looking forward to Vegas and I will be carrying my case to the tables. In it will be a few cigars and the bible from my hotel room. The bible is so I do not crush the case when I stand in it. 😀 😀 b]

I bought shoes that give me 5 1/2" lift. Like standing up on toes (which I do anyway) only need them on certain tables, but they let my arm really relax. From this I learned how my arm "really" hung & swung (cool huh?) & natural path of hand. A never ending journey.
Shoot with passion..or pass the dice.
