Craps

Trip Report

Spread the love

So I am heading off to Canada later this week for a few days with some friends for some good gambling. My wife and i decided to go to Connecticut for the evening last night. We get up there around 4:30 in the afternoon. My wife rushes off to use the spa and I go hit the tables. I find a table where SR1 is open. I slip in with the dice 2 to my right. I 5 count the next two shooters and then get the dice. First round was a 12. Surprisingly, the next 6 shooters all pass the dice. I 5 count the next two shooters. The 2nd one has a decent toss of somewhere in the teens. I then get the dice. I feel a little more in the zone and toss a 17. Again, the next 6 shooters pass the dice. 5 count the next two guys and then I get the dice. I loss my count as I usually don’t continue counting past teens. I know I hit at least 40 numbers and possibly more. I held the dice for about 45 minutes as there were a bunch of hard ways hit. One guy on the opposite side of the table threw me 4 black chips when I crapped out. I happily went to meet my wife for dinner.

After dinner, she took my players card to go do some shopping and I went to play again. Found my position again and whatever I had done before dinner, I did the opposite afterwards. I did something I usually never do, I point/sevened 3 times in a row. Luckily after the first one I 5 count myself so I only lost my flat bet with the odds. Fourth time I hit one number before sevening out. UGGH!!! I have NO idea what I am doing wrong. I am so frustrated that I decide to walk away. I go meet Debbie and we go play some Spanish 21 for an hour. I can count decently well and make some money at that table. We then left. I walked away last night with almost tripling my stake which is fabulous. Yet I was in such a crappy mood because of my last 4 tosses.

Long story short, when your off, you need to know when to walk away. Had a great time with my wife, made some money and hopefully got the junk out of my system.

We all have bad day’s and like you said walking away is very important,

Point 7 out sucks and I remember many years ago when Bill and I played twice a week I point 7’d out 21 times in a row. Yes 21 times.

Don’t worry about it you are an excellent shooter.

The next time you go on the spur of the moment send me a text, I was thinking of going last night myself.

Hmm reading this post made me think of a question which I don’t know if it has been brought up before.
When you five count yourself or anybody do you put up odds or not ?

Or do you add odds after the 5 count or do you increase after getting some wins?

In practice I some times just start off with 1 times odds then increase till at max then up a unite on place bets. I also do this on dealer bets . In the casino I always start with 1.00 for dealer on line and as I get wins put odds for them. Some times I forget that they to have a limit too so at times one dealer will want me to put the dollar on the line . Were a norther dealer will just say I can increase the flat bet. Which I then can add more odds to later.

I hate those point 7 out also .
Good Rolling. 😀 😀

I will always take full odds as it is the best bet in the entire casino and lowers the house edge when playing craps. Bob, 21 times? That is incredible. I hope you had a nice winning streak after that. I don’t have your cell phone number. Why don’t you email it to me and I will definitely shoot you a text next time I go up.
