Here are some excerpts from a Minneapolis/Saint Paul newspaper article about Minnesota Viking’s running back and the NFL’s reigning MVP Adrain Peterson.
What is not so remarkable that Peterson’s dedicated practice ethic closely parallels the path to success and winning as taught in the various GTC classes.
Perhaps the hardest working Viking’s player during practices also happens to be the NFL’s reigning MVP, Adrian Peterson. The 6-foot-2 217-pounder doesn’t stop running after a play is completed. Instead, he gallops another 20 yards or so before returning to the huddle.
"That’s what it’s all about, when you’re trying to be the best," Peterson said after a recent practice. "You practice the way you play – that’s something I was always told. I’ve done that, and I’ve seen the results."
Peterson is the model of hard work during practices.
"You’ve got to put your best foot forward, man, and you’ll see the results," he said. "…I try to inspire with the same hard-work mind set."
If you want to be the best, you’ve got to put in the work. You just can’t talk about it and think it’s going to happen."
Peterson’s results speak for themselves.
Food for thought, methinks…
