International Game Technology (IGT) has declared a $0.10 per share quarterly common stock dividend to be paid on Oct. 4 to shareholders of record as of Sept. 19. The dividend is $0.01 higher than the firm’s previous distribution.

A subsidiary of Wynn Resorts Ltd., called Wynn Interactive, has applied for an Internet gambling license in New Jersey. There are an estimated 36 applications for the online gambling activity slated to begin in late November.

Crown Ltd., the gaming company owned by Australian billionaire James Packer, reported a decline in earnings for the most recent fiscal year that ended in June. The company said earnings fell 23 percent to $357 million.

The Hawaii County Council has rejected a resolution that would allow high-stakes bingo. The vote, 7-2, ensures Hawaii will remain one of only two states to ban all gambling activities. The other state is Utah.
