Ran across a hard copy of this post in Jan 2011.
Didn’t have any feedback that I printed out.
Did anyone tell you they hit it or not.

Bman was asking me about the Big Enchilada which is what I gave him. But in my post about the Big Enchilada I compare it to the Fire Bet so you can read about hitting the Fire Bet for 4, 5 or 6 numbers there.

In the past when I was betting HWs which I don’t now, one night I collected $1,600 on a half parlayed bet that I had hit three times without a soft or 7 out happening.

For the hard 6 or 8 here are the odds of hitting it in succession:
The odds of making 2 hits in a row are 1 to 120.
The odds of making 3 hits in a row are 1 to 1,330.
The odds of making 4 hits in a row are 1 to 14,640.

The House Edge on The Big Enchilada is a little higher than that for the Fire Bet because the Fire Bet pays smaller amounts for 4 or 5 numbers. That helps to bring the HA down even though it is still a very high HA. The Big Enchilada only pays if you hit it successively and take your money.
But if you are primarily looking for the bigger payout, The Big Enchilada is a much better wager because the odds of hitting the big one is much lower as you have already noted.

We use the same set and this should produce the numbers repeating .
Were with the fire you want to make all the numbers twice for points .
I JUST have not gotten to were I can repeat as good as some on this site .Maybe one day I may do a par lay JUST am not to that point yet . I do up a unite a little when I bet the hard ways which is not vary often .
After the 4 hit what does the press look like since there is a Max. pay out .Not that I will be doing it soon .
I had a player make 2300.00 on a par lay hard way that I rolled but did not notice how it got to that pay off or the number that it was .
I try not to look at how others are betting .
One time at a table there was a come better that would use all his ones from a pay day to press the hard 10 .
I saw him loose his bet at 168.00 but he did hit it when he had 36.00 on it . He liked betting the hard 10 .
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂

But that is only comparing two terrible bets to each other. I think you can make more money in the long run by making low house edge wagers where you have a better advantage over the house and pressing appropriately. I would rather be aggressive with low house edge wagers than trying for bets that have odds of 6,000+ to 1 and a HA of 20% – 25%.
I realize the large pay out makes those bets attractive. But it is easier to make more money by following the GTC recommendations and betting aggressively.
The problem I have seen at the tables is most students bet too much on random rollers, get aggressive on controlled shooters too early and do not put enough money on the table when the right time does come along. Most folks try to win a lot of money every time they are at the tables instead of being patient and waiting for the best opportunities. Then when those opportunities do come along they get scared and cost themselves a lot of money out of fear.
Betting properly is not an easy thing to learn but it is just as important as developing a great throw. Very few students spend enough time thinking about and practicing how to bet. It takes hard work to learn how to make the correct bets for any given situation automatically, just like the effort it takes to develop a good throw and cultivate the proper mental attitude for the game.

That one was my 2nd fire — (my first one was in AUG 2013 in AC for $5,000)
The Princess has hit TWO 6-point fire bets also — both were in AC (one in 2012 and one in 2013)

You have a better chance of hitting the 6 twelve times in a row. A twelve time parlay on the 6 has a HA of just under 20%.
If you start with a $12 six and parlay your winnings twelve times in a row you will hit table max of $6,000 after the ninth successive hit. You then bet table max three more times for a twelve in a row parlay.
You will have a total win of over $31,000 after the twelfth hit.
If you start with a $6 six and parlay your winnings, you will have a total win of over $24,000 after the twelfth hit.
For you folks who like the fire bet so much, there are better ways to make more money if you want to go for the long odds.

JUST BET THE WAY YOU NORMALLY DO . Except this time think that the pay days are even . Like you bet 6.00 on the 6 or 8 and when you hit them you just take the one dollar and bet a hard way . So you have not taken the dollar out of you rack.Just keep doing this till you hit then par lay the win if you hit it and keep doing the same thing .If you are placing then other numbers you could also do this or even with come bets like a guy did at a table I was at .He did not par lay instead he would take the win and start all over again .I guess he did not like taking $$$ out of his rack .If it rolled easy he would just start all over again with the next win .I saw him win it at 36.00 but saw him loose it at 165.00 He was a come better so the dollars added up fast .
The fire bet you need to take the $$$ out of your rack right off the bat were this way you only start with a win or could wait till you get your spread back first .
If you do a 5 count then you are saving $$ any way and even more since you will not be on the hard ways till later in roll .
When doing it this way you are still winning a lot if you have 165.00 on a hard way .The 4s and 10 wins do increase the bet fast tho .
They both are high H bets tho like you said .Just think of it as a big tip for you if you happen to hit it . 🙂 🙂
I tip the dealers why not myself . 🙂 🙂
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂

I’ve got three 6-pointers and ten 5-pointers and I’ve found the secret is having the ability to get the numbers set-up on the come-out roll. That means having trying specific dice sets to hit the number you need.
Once it’s set-up, the opportunity to win (either thru the lay bet win or the fire hit is there)
