Just got back from Vegas trip of four days. JBW and I met my son Ryan in Vegas, he has been working in the oilfields of North Dakota for two years with no craps practice.
Jbw and I use a modified form of the BIG SKINNY. After a pass line and two come bets we wait for 2 hits before we go to four numbers. We started out with lots of hands in the 10 to 16 range and got ahead early.
Four sessions on day one and three were winners.
Day two started out with me throwing a 28 hand with Jim at 16, then a 14 for each of us. Four sessions on this day and all were winners. We were going to play at the same casino as long as we kept winning.
Day three and Ryan and B-man join us. Only one spot open a sl so I move to sr-2, Ryan takes sl. I get the dice first and start with a 36 hand, Jim with a 26 and Ryan throws a 15. Highlight of the session was a hard four parlay by my son with a big payday. We color up and move to B-man’s casino and we throw twice but nothing special. Ryan wants to throw one more time. The dice come around to him and I drop all my profit from this session on the inside numbers. He comes out on the 6 and then throws 9,5,8,9,8,8,8,and is done.My seven hits with a press on the second 8 gave me a nice profit. Jim and I return to our casino at 3pm for the opening of their 3rd table. Jims first roll, one die is short of the wall and the box goes off on him like a marine corps drill sergeant. We promptly colored and left.
We meet up with Ryan at a third casino, this one with microfiber top. I again have to move to sr-2 because of a ploppy. I start first with a 41 hand and the second time around the table I get to 15 and the stickman has the stick standing 15 inches out into the table. I ask him what is going on and his reply is I don’t want to get hit with the dice. I convince myself I can throw around his stick, but I seven out and we leave. After the crew change we try again. Ryan is at dinner with his friends so it is just Jbw and me. I get my spot at sl-1 so all is cool. My turn with the dice and at roll 19 a dude throws his money on the layout just as I’m picking up my dice. I see the money and set them back down, I refocus and toss just as he reachs out and drops his I.D. You know what happened. We colored and left.
We had a great time, ate great food, restocked our 401G,and stayed for free. We have some things to work on here at practice. like pressing up the Big Skinny with place bets, it just isn’t a natural act for us. Yet. We need to get thicker skin like Doc and Alligator Rose.
This was the best I have thrown in quite a long time. In the three days I made the four number firebet twice. No money bet on them and one was in only 10 rolls of the dice. I had only one point-out the entire trip. Thanks to Skinny, Daryl, Billy, Bill Burton and everyone at GTC.

Regarding the stick person, were you tipping the dealers when that occurred?
Please go to the User Control Panel and update your profile so people will know you took a class.

Both Jim and I play six dollars on the pass line and every pass line win We tip a Dollar. When the hand gets longer we also tip on any off and on come bets. It was our tenth session at this casino and the dealers love us.
We were observing at a strip casino when a high roller, with a spread of about 3000 dollars tipped three black chips to the dealers. Not one thank you or even an acknowledgement. Even if the guy was an A–hole some one should have said thanks. We don’t play strip casinos because of this attitude.
Doc,
Get me the dates for the Duke city and I will meet you there.
NFF,
The video analysis in Vegas was exactly what I needed. It took a full three months practice to keep my hand from opening. Bad habits are hard to break. My left hand from stick right was much easier to keep closed. Will see you guys in Vegas in June.
