Pre Trip Practice Thoughts

Spread the love

I’d be interested in hearing from members about what they do for pre-trip preparation. I’m talking about everything from the Joo Joo on your locker to how you practice leading up to a trip the week or two before. I know I’ve got my routine. For example, with under 5 days to go, I stop logging statistics of any sort and I stop practice betting and work on fundamentals. In the way of Joo Joo, I like to continue my betting practice 5 – 6 days out until I have a roll of 30+. I then make that 30+ roll the last one I do any counting on. The joo joo is that I have that last big roll as a recent memory in my head. If I’m getting too close to the trip without a +30 hand, I’ll make it 15 + or 20+ depending on whether or not the ‘feel’ was on. After that, it’s fundamentals and visualization but without too much self-criticism. No setting of the dice but rather doing such things as hitting the bowl, keeping the dice in the corner for consecutive rolls, etc.

Would like to hear from you guys.

Heading for Vegas 8/31, so game on soon.

Although practice is important, make sure you get some rest. You will not have good results if you are tired. I’m not sure where you are leaving from, but for me, just the 6 hour flight is enough to knock me out. Good luck and win!!!

Getagrip, a great thread for us all. The only addition that I do, is to be ready to walk if things aren’t right. A written plan is absolutely needed. I take a practice board, but even a magazine works well. Breathe and enjoy the journey.
