Happy holidays to all our friends. Tonight we are going to my cousins for a Passover Seder. Sunday we have some of Sandtrap’s children coming for Easter dinner. Since my children no longer travel on Easter weekend with their babies due to congested traffic, they will come next weekend for the last night of Passover, at which time we will have our own family Seder.
We are truly blessed with a large ecumenical international family. We have always celebrated all the Jewish and Christian holidays. When we first blended the families 29 years ago, Sandtrap’s children insisted on having their own menorahs (and gifts, of course) for Chanukkah. My Jewish daughter is married to a Catholic, and the ceremony was led by Sandtrap’s Presbyterian minister, with our Chinese granddaughter as flower girl.
Wherever you are, have a wonderful and safe weekend.
