Craps

A different perspective

Spread the love

After attending my first refresher in Vegas last month I have really taken some time to think about what I have learned and how I can incorporate it into my practice sessions and my time at the casino tables.
What the refresher class gave me was a real in depth look at the GTC toss and all that goes into becoming an advantage player. I thought I was doing fine in my practice sessions but I didn’t really realize what it was that was missing. The Goddess really helped us take apart our shots and gave me a real time evaluation of where I am in the journey. My classmates were much further along in keeping the dice together and synchronized. Now when my shot is off, I see it very clearly.
I have saved so much money with this new realization because I will not put my 401g in jeopardy until I start to see what I know is possible in the realm of improvement.
All the elements of the shot, from grip to stance to follow through, need work and lots of practice. I’m o.k. with that. I know how long some of you have been working at this and I have been in a state of humility at the tables enough to know that it is hard work. I’m tired of praying for luck alone to see me through.
I am no longer entering my results in smart craps for the time being. Instead, I am really just experimenting with the different elements of the toss and observing what the dice do. I know what they should look like now and I know that with enough quality practice time, I too will get there. Sometimes, I try to take on too much and go into overwhelm but I’m getting better now at slowing things down and being patient with myself. It’s not easy, being easy. DoughBoy

Totally agree. I have no desire to go to a casino and shoot craps at the present.
I’m not recording my shots either, just trying to transfer all the learning/changes/information from Vegas class
to the practice table. When it all comes together its such a thrill, now I may get 3 to 5 GOOD SHOTS per 100 tosses. Before
June class, I was about 1 GOOD SHOT per 500 tosses. See you soon.
