Life on the Home Front

canadian fishing

Spread the love

Normally go up in august and again in September, but got talked into in
June trip.

6 guys and 2 boats.

First day was a little slow with 160 fish, picked up next day with 400
and last day i put in the anchor on a point, and 5 hours later we
had caught 190 walleyes in about a 100 foot circle.

This was goofy, 1350 fish in 4 days.

If always thought 40 fish a day was decent day.

IT will take a month to heal up all the cuts i have on my fingers
from the fish.

Now after 1350 fish.. it would seem a minor request for a
100 roll.

Walleyes are the best eating fish in the world as far as I am concerned. Where about in Canada – roughly were you fishing? I used to have a friend in Minnesota that used to send me bags of frozen walleye and perch he caught ice fishing. Originally from Michigan I used to fish Lake Erie for Walleye and we would freeze the fish and at the end of the Summer have a big fish fry with a bunch of us that would fish together. Used to have a old Polish guy whose mother made this dill pickle tarter sauce that was amazing with the fish.

I rather fish for walleyes then salmon or andy other fish except maybe perch but it is hard to get the jumbo’s like we did years ago.

Hey buddy

My point is and has been ( 😆 😆 😆 😆 )

that we got very lucky at fishing that week, and last fall our bowling team got
very lucky one night aND HIT THE ALL TIME HIGH AT THE ALLEY.. i am ready to
hit my all time high at craps….. now i dont even like bowling, surely the craps
god can reward me with one outstanding night at the table after all i have to walk
3 miles through 2 feet of snow in the winter just to practice, and i cant even afford
a winter coat.

100 roll, i am not asking for much

Canada was slow this year, we only had about 1100 fish

But you have to take the good with the bad ( 😆 😆 )

We did eat alot and the other boat forgot they had some frozen to take
home with they brought some back for supper. That over-sight cost them about
$600

then again who in the hell wants to eat "cheap" fish

Short by 250 this year huh. Guess that means it will only be an 85 roll instead of 100. 😆

Sounds like a great trip, glad you did so well.

thanks Skinny

I found i can fish… i only pretend to play craps.

A bad of fishing is much better than a good day of working, but a bad day of craps
playing means i cant afford to go fishing…… 😐

thats the trouble of getting old, you see things to clear
