Have been a member of the YMCA for about 7 years where I try and work out 2 to 3 times a week. They came up with something new—BOOT CAMP!!! I decided to sign up. It last 6 weeks and we meet 3 times a week. I am now 2 weeks into the program. The times are 5:30 am (ugh) Tuesday and Thursday and 8:00 am Saturday. It last one hour. We do all sorts of push ups, weights, running ( try that with knee replacement surgery), jumping, you name it. Mostly with weights, I have found muscles that I had forgotten I had.
So far it has been great. I am over the pain of using muscles I haven’t used in years. Now I am looking forward to each session.
My objective—by July 15th lose 12 pounds and 1 inch in the waist. So far I am down 4 pounds.
The secret in these early morning sessions is that they get over very early and you have the rest of the day. Then I can come home and take a nap!!!
Can’t wait for Vegas.
