Timidity, Temerity or Confident: Who are you?

Spread the love

If you are timid: You are fearful of the throw. Afraid to take the risk of winning.
If you have temerity: You are reckless, take unreasonable risks, hard-headed. You embrace the risk of losing. Unfounded confidence not based in reality.
If you are confident: You have a plan. You have learned how to throw. You know the math of the game. You understand the risk of both winning and losing.

Being confident is what you want to be at the table. But it is a learned confidence that can only come from practice and muscle memory.

A real confident shooter who has learned the system and practiced walks up to the table and knows he/she is:
The captain of the ship.
The driver of the bus.
The pilot of the plane.

Ever hear the saying, the head of the table is wherever I sit? Well, a GTC thrower is at the head of the table even though he/she throws from SL1,2 or SR1,2.

That is the confidence you need when you throw. You can only get that from understanding the math, mastering the throw, and learning the bets to make.

Good shooting!

You hit the nail on the head with that one, Timmer. You have a natural ability to motivate and inspire others which only brings out the best in a person. I was very lucky to have you leading me in our group. Good insight. I win big when my emotional stamina is at its strongest.
