I visited a casino for the 1st time yesterday since the refresher class in Memphis.
Could not get my spot at 1st casino, only 3 people at table but 1 of them taking up SL 1, 2 and 3
Went to casino # 2.
3 people at the table.
My 1st roll, 5 , 5 point, 6 , 8 , 6 point. After a few more 6s and 8s, I was told my hand was crossing the center of the table and that was not allowed. Ok I knew that and have received that warning before. I moved down a little to SL 2, came right back w/ my point.
2 or 3 more hits and I’m feeling good and confident. I was then told ”The dice are not leaving your hand before you cross the center line”. I moved down some more but I had lost it, now all I could think about was the dice leaving my hand. 7 out, I tried to shoot again ( several times ) and inch back up to position but it was too late, I was on tilt, I was steaming. Colored up and left.
Note – did play one of their new video poker machines, won 9 times my buyin at the craps table and walked out the door w/ their money anyway, π

Next, this was some jerk …. has to leave your hands before you cross the middle!
Don’t let it worry you. The only thing that I can advise is after you rolled again and felt that you were on tilt, you should have moved to that VP machine

If the one giving your trouble is a dealer or stickman I still take down the place and odds bets and throw the dice and take any small wins. In this situation the dealers don’t get the wins.
Go to another casino or come back during a different shift at the same casino. There is always another time or place to shoot dice. You did good to move on.
Way to go on the VP win.

I agree with everyone else, you just happened to run into an idiot who said the dice were not coming out of your hand before your hand crossed the center line. Coloring up and leaving is the only thing to do, we want to enjoy ourselves when we are playing. If we wanted grief and aggravation we would have gone to work that day.
Keep practicing and continue to play smart, you were a great student and a great player.

Then I realized it did not matter, I needed to color up and get off the table and get my mind right. Thanks for all the practice tips, I’m trying to retain as many as I can.

1. Play somewhere that has a reputation for letting you play.
2. Play somewhere that has a reputation for letting you play.
If 1 doesn’t work, try 2.
3. Practice with distractions. Every time we shoot, even with a friendly crew, we are like a free throw shooter in a big game on the road. I sometimes have my GF screw around with me ( not a literal picture in this instance ) while I’m practicing. Ever had a woman lift up her shirt from where the boxman sits while you’re trying to throw? In casino play, you’re going to get everything from chips on your target spot to a drunk right next to you threatening to marry you if you hit the ‘yo’ again. Even if you have an SRR of 17, it won’t do you any good if you can’t tune out the distractions. Casino play has distractions. Learn to tune them out.
I know this is contrary to some teachings, but when I get warned about hitting the back wall, I don’t even acknowledge that it happened the first time. If I get warned again, I will sometimes say I’m sorry and will watch it. If I’m hitting the back wall everytime, and I know I’m making contact with the wall, and they’re still telling me to hit the back wall, I tune them out. I pretend they are background music. Never been sixed yet for that. If you know the rules and you’re not breaking them, it would take a real A hole to toss you. (But it could happen)…so go back to Rule 1 and Rule 2.
Finally, don’t be a jackass yourself. I’ve watched a few GTC players who claim they get heat and from the way they behave I can see why. Don’t be a dick. As an example, when you’re not shooting, make friends with the crew. I just got back from Vegas, and there is a place I like to play that has kind of a cranky pit boss who likes to come over and tell me to hit the back wall. He has a face like his preparation H isn’t kicking in, if you know what I mean. While the dice were going around and I was waiting to shoot, I chatted him up and even got him to crack a smile. If you can humanize your tormentors and they can humanize you, that can go a long way. After chatting with the guy, I dropped the dice short on my first throw, looked at the guy, shrugged and said "Don’t tell me. I’ll fix it" I did and he wandered off after that.
Remember Rule 1 and 2 most of all. It’s a lot more fun when the refs don’t call the game so close.
Good luck and keep on rollin’

Had my oldest stepson go to his room and play Minecraft w/ the volume turned up all the way.
Put my phone in my pocket on vibrate and had my daughter call me repeatedly.
My youngest stepson and oldest grandson were standing by the table.
One would chant come on 7 and the other would yell dollar yo just as I picked up the dice.
I also had the two of them argue the rest of the time. ( this was the easy part )
My wife stood very close to me and constantly propositioned me.
After about 15 minutes I yelled at my stepson to turn the volume down, told my daughter not to call unless it was an emergency,
separated the other two and told them I did not want to hear them speak the rest of the night.
The other distraction was just too much to overcome, practice over. π

I could not believe how loud the back round noise was and how much it helped me block out these distractions.
