When I lived in Arkansas and was at Tunica on average probably 2 night a week I would average well over 6,000 casinos rolls a year.
Now that I am in California I don’t average anywhere that number of casino rolls a year.
If I have a few spare minutes at home I play craps on my iPhone with AwCraps. I have just completed 5,775 roll betting continuous come bets pass line $5 bets with Vegas 3-4-5 odds. In this particular game I started off losing and lost over $1,300 hundred at one time.
Now after 5,775 rolls I am finally in a small plus position.
As you all no my odds bet usage no house advantage, but over $28,000 of my flat bets should show me down over $400 dollars.
So even that many rolls is the short term for a random roller.
AwCraps let me see what my tonal roll frequency is, and it is pretty close to the expected pyramid shape.
Early on I had more than normal 7s.
So even if you have 5,775 actual casino rolls and are in a plus position, don’t assume that
Means you are including the dice.

It sounds like actual rolls by you .
Then I look at it that some times you get the dice in your hands once or twice an Hr. It seems that an empty table never stays that way vary long. I don’t keep track of my rolls in the casino at all .But when thinking about it I have few . Even though I may be at the table for 6 to 8 hrs.
I am trying to get rid of that bad habit .
My trips are 3 days and only about every 3 or 4 Ms apart So that is like 8 days of rolling I would think.
When I think about how often I get the dice we stay in the worst place .I say this because I have seen people come and leave and the dice seems to take longer to get back.
Like the numbers of people that roll are more then can fit around a table . 😀 😀
Like you made me think . Have I ever left a table after a good roll ? Have left after a bad roll that is a given.
This may not have been what you wanted out of this post but it has made me think about a few things Thank You.
Good Rolling. 😀 😀

I had 5,775 rolls on the iPad app based on a random shooter and the overall result were slightly positive rather than being the expected loss. So even if your own rolls in the casino showed you were positive, don’t take that to mean you are a controlled shooter.
that result is just from expected variance.
Jus an aside, less than 250 more rolls the app has me losing almost twice the expected loss.
Varience can be a killer if you don’t have a proper 401G

Most all know I record everything on the iPhone, and in practice I do it on the iPad.
2012
1,013 rolls in casino
53,276 rolls in practice
Both of those numbers are down, mostly due to….life.
2013
As of today, 5/11
889 rolls in casino
26,051
Obviously last year was not as diligent as this year. I think a pot of it had to do with obvious schedule and life stuff….but the desire to make the time and hit practice, make the trips, and time in….was all due to the positive changes in GTC.
Would love to get casino rolls up to your 5,775 Noah. Even better…with the same number of trips! Oh yeah!!!! 😮 😆 😀
Great post!

If not I hope you do it in two rolls .
If the math looks right you will pass last year rolls in a casino unless you have no more trips planed .
Good Rolling. 😀 😀

I find it hard at times to get casino rolls even if you do have a good roll. Some times it takes Hrs. for the dice to come back around. It seems 15 or 20 Min are spent getting the dice from a roll off the table. I have counted 15 rolls going off before me getting them.
Just a thought .
Good Rolling. 😀 😀

I agree, it would be interesting to see roll numbers or totals for any trip…not just class weekend. I wouldn’t want people to do it at the expense of focus though. The newer folks just need to focus and trust in their throws. Counting rolls at the table should be practiced at home with chips and make it part of the routine so that
1) you don’t slow down the game and draw negative attention
2) if you’re throwing the dice, you don’t want it taking away from your focus….slowing you down, getting you out of your rhythm….not to mention, again, – drawing negative attention
3) if you get into a deep zone, that dream-like state during a great roll, you won’t even notice the chips to count with…. 😀
Someone else will count you…..
Finisher – try throwing either early early, or very late (as long as you’re not in class or with Mrs. Finisher)…..if thats the case, you might even consider throwing in the middle of the night and sleeping during the day. I’ve done that and often had the table to myself….or with my buddies.
