in 2010, members of Seal Team 2 captured a Taliban cheiftan. In the name of fairness they told him they would let the dice decide his fate.
They handed the cheiftan a pair of dice and told him to roll. If he got 1,2,3,4,5,6 8,9,10,11 or 12 his head would come off.
The chief thought about it for a minute and asked "what if I roll a 7"
The seasoned sergeant replied "you get to roll again"
Sounds fair to me.
