To say that the Classes (Primer, Refresher, and Advance) were fun and learning experiences, would be a big understatement. The open house, elite video and tune ups on Friday were attended with great excitement as well. The Meet and Greet on Friday night was also a success. With our new format for all of these activities, under the outstanding leadership of The Dominator, we could have had nothing but success.

The beautiful Alligator Rose and I were mentoring primer students and had the opportunity to watch the excellent teaching by all of the instructors. The improvement by the students over the course of the weekend, as always, was outstanding. The most compliments from the students was the betting techniques taught to the students. I do believe that information was received and retained. As usual we believe we learn as much as the students as the instruction reinforces all we have learned over the years.

Enough about the class. Rose and the old Doc don’t get to roll as much as they would like during a class weekend, but some rolling we did do. We arrived late on Wed afternoon and did not roll but found some GTC friends that we were able to bet on. We both won but being a little tired we were playing for low stakes and the time at the table was not too long.

On Thursday we went down to the tables early and the first time around the table the results at best were mixed. The second time around, as usual, Rose was at SR1 and Doc SL1. Rose had a nice roll of 22. I followed with a decent 17–it’s true that often the best man for the job is a woman. This would be it pretty much for the morning as we could not get anything going nor could any GTC friends. Set up would take the most of the rest of the day. After No Field Five had the cameras and computers set up for the elite video, both Alligator Rose and I were able to let Five get his equipment set up properly by filming us and taking a brief look at our throws. He made some minor tweaks to our throws. Not much but just what we needed.

The open house on Friday was a big success with people coming in all day getting registered, picking up their supplies, and playing on the various instruction stations with a little informal advice from the instructional staff. The open house attendees were able to watch the tune ups and elite video being done and we believe many will sign up for these excellent learning experiences. As usual the weekend is a fun filled blur as we work so hard and the time seems to pass so quickly. We would have some 32 students on Sat and Sum.

Monday would be a mixed day with some wins and some losses–unfortunately more losses than wins. I was down a small amount but Rose had lost a little more. She decided to go play one of the table poker games for low stakes and for only a short time. She was to experience one of these very unique times when everything seems to go right. She wound up winning quite a few portraits of Benjamin Franklin. That evening Rose was able to get her "spot" at the table and ended up with a nice 32 as well before we headed to dinner.

Tues morning we got up and found a couple of spots where we could block for several GTC players at the SR end of the table. Nothing much was happening until Nick At Night got the dice and had a small monster of about 32. Sand Trap, not to be out done, had an excellent roll in the high 20’s. Don’t know the exact number but Goddess will have them–she always does. We all colored up. Said good by as it was time for everyone to head home and wait for the next trip.

What a great time in AC–great friends, excellent food, an excellent learning weekend for all, a nice win and lastly but not least some comps courtesy of the casino. We look for similar experiences in Memphis and Vegas.
