Beach Bar Shakeup in AC: Sammy Hagar is severing his ties with his Bally’s Atlantic City Beach Bar, having been unable to reach a mutually acceptable financial deal with CET to rebuild the venue, which was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. The bar will reopen, but under the Bally’s brand name. Meanwhile, Trump Plaza is also opting not to reopen its beach bar, citing the increased competition posed by Jimmy Buffett’s new beachfront LandShark Bar & Grill, which is the centerpiece of the $35 million Margaritaville-themed bar, restaurant, and casino expansion at Resorts, scheduled to debut Memorial Day weekend at Resorts.
