My wifes paper mill is closing in February and she will be 62 in April so Sue is going to retire. I am not sure
that is what she wants to do, after 27 years you get sorta tied to a place. It is not who you are, but it is
part of who you are if you like your job.

I will be 64 and i could retire. But could and should are not the same. I have never had a job since i was 22, i have always worked for myself. This year it will 35 years that I have been in the appraisal business. I cant say i have enjoyed all of
it, and i surely cant say i did not allow it to extract to much of my life from me, neither can my kids. But in the end, it is a good business and has reflected much of what i feel is important.

I have felt for many years that life is like ocean waves hitting a beach softly at night. Wave after wave , like the days of our life. As you get older you cant help wondering how many waves you have left. If we knew how many waves we have left perhaps these decisions would easier, perhaps not.

A lot of us remember the "road not taken" by Frost …. two roads diverged into a woods, and i… took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference……

I guess i have always gone my own way… maybe i will just continue on the road i am on and it will end up being the best
one i could have taken.
