February 24, 2013 09:15 Crosswalk Planned for Welcome Sign: A stoplight and crosswalk have been approved for the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign in an attmept to increase pedestrian safety there. Alternate proposals for bridges, or even a relocation of the sign to the west side of Las Vegas Boulevard, were rejected. The crosswalk will be built as part of an overall expansion of the sign’s parking lot, which is expected to be in place by early 2014.
