A 30 in PA

Spread the love

Hi all. I am really excited to make this post this evening. Today my wife and I went to a casino in an old steel town in Pennsylvania. I have been to this casino several times and I really like the tables and dealers. The only table that was open when we arrived was totally full. I waited for the second table to open which it did within the hour. It originally opened as a $25, but they dropped it back to $15 fairly quickly. My first shoot was an 11, which was OK for the first shot of the morning. My second was a 14, definitely heading the right direction. Then my third was a really nice 30. This is my best shooting in a casino since attending the class in Vegas in October. I now know what being in the zone means. The CFR’s had cost me a bunch as it seems many would get past the 5 count, so I’d put up a Come bet for $15 with $15 odds, plus $1 for the crew, and the devil would show on #6 or #7. So, with the 30 I shot, I made back all of my loss and ended up with a small profit over my buy in. I kept the Dealers on the line, and on the box numbers as well. I think they may have made $50 – $60 on my roll. It was great! I could have pressed my 6 and 8 much earlier, but I was really focusing on my shooting. One thing at a time. I figured as long as I made my losses back, plus a little extra profit on my roll, it was a success.

Thanks to Timmer and the "Under the Radar" team, and of course Frank and Dominator for helping me out during the class. My practice sessions are definitely making a big difference. Thanks again. I agree: "Winning IS the most fun!"

Nice. I play up there occasionally. Grew up just outside of Hellertown.

Nice report. You are definitely headed in the right direction. You are correct regarding "one thing at a time." New GTC students find it difficult to concentrate on their toss as well as the vagaries of betting.

Was your wife at the table with you? If so, consider letting her do the betting and raising (you make the pass line with odds bet)
and work as a team. If not, do as you are doing for now, and eventually it will all coalesce.

Congrats, Chevy! – Your focus and hard work is paying off!!

Goddess offered some great advice about having your spouse do the betting and pressing while you focus on your toss.

Makes for a fun "couples activity" as well!

Thanks for the report and keep up your great posts, Chevy. They are always an interesting read…

Congrats on POM and being part of the "Under The Radar Team".

Nice seeing a 30, now for us to get to the next level of 40 and above.

The journey continues.

Hope to meet you one day!
