The other news out of AC in the last week or so is the purchase of Trump Plaza for 20 mil. I’m pissed, we could have made a conglomerate of GTC people and financed that! Could you imagine 12′ craps tables covering the whole casino floor?

Apparently no one in thei marketing department observed who the clientele are in AC. Mid-week, particularly, it is geriatric village, and no one in that demographic is interested in a "destination resort" in AC. Revel started out with rooms costing $249 mid-week and no comps. Most players in AC don’t pay for their rooms, or pay very little. Revel also have no buffet, which many AC players like to eat at.

When Revel opened, all the dealers and players were saying it wouldn’t last very long. We should have placed bets.

The Plaza was never marmeted properly by the Trump organization. I remember years ago our Host at the Taj said that Trump Plaza should have been the best and most succesful casino in AC because of its location, when you drive in on the AC Expressway it it the first casino you see and it is connected to the huge convention center, Boardwalk Hall.
