Last night before going to sleep I was working on an article for Franks gaming gurus. Coming up with new ideas is difficult.
Anyway, guess this was on my mind because I head a very strange dream. It was one of those long multi part dreams that make no sense.
Here goes:
I was at a house on Staten Island. I never saw the house before. For some reason i think this house has something to do with frank. An old man asked me if I was there to buy it. I said no. I say i was there visiting my mother claiming she lives in the area. The old guy told me to stick around. Dominic wanted to see him and he was coming over.
Next thing you you know there are a bunch of people there. They are all Gtcers but I do not know who is who.
I ask the old man where Dom is he tells me he can not come.
I then ask the group if they want to come to my house to shoot pool. They say yes. For some reason no one has a car.
I say I will drive in my SUV. When we go to the car it is a compact. We can not all fit. Somehow we wind up in two cars. We are packed in like sardines. Rather then drive to my house in NJ to shoot pool we decide to go to my parents house which I think is close by. I then realize I am on the North Shore of SI and my parents live on the south shore.
Next thing you know we are at the site of a house either under construction or renovation.
I am being asked about electrical work on the home.
There was way more to this but I can not recall it now.
I think I am am losing it. 😉

The mind is always working even when we are asleep. It takes a licking and keeps on ticking 🙄 That is why it is so difficult to keep your thoughts quiet when we are shooting or while we are performing any other physical activity that requires us to keep our thoughts at bay. Meditation techniques or other similar methods can help us when we are playing craps.
But when you sleep there is nothing to control the electrical impulses in the brain from functioning. So our thoughts bounce from place to place, not necessarily in a logical fashion, as we sleep. You always "dream" as you sleep. You may not often remember your dreams however. A lot depends on how you wake up or so I am told. I think it has something to do with if you awake while you are in a REM state or not. Frank knows much more about this dream stuff than I do. He seems to be fascinated with it as you may have surmised from The Virgin Kiss.
But it seems to me, at least in my uneducated opinion as a layman, that all these things in your dream are familiar to you in some way or another. The people you mentioned specifically are people you know, some unknown GTC folks but GTC is known. The objects such as shooting pool, your SUV, the car, house on SI, location on SI, etc. are all places and things familiar to you. Then as you said, you were thinking about an article for Frank and you dreamt about GTC. I am sure there are other explanations for the other things and events in your dream.
Yes, things seemed to be jumbled up and disjointed in the dream. But isn’t that the way we often think? Our mind jumps from place to place until the logical side of our brain is able to join together the creative side of our brain’s thoughts into a cohesive concept. I suspect that is the same thing that happens when we dream. But in a dream the logical "controls" are not as active as when we are awake. So it seems we are going from one place to another without following a logical course.
At least that is my idea and thoughts in my awake state. I may come up with something different if I dream about this tonight 😀
