A CASINO ADVENTURE

Spread the love

I went to the casino this morning had to get their when they open or I wont get my spot at the $5.00 dollar table. I played 4 hours and managed to make $60.00 dollars which was a lot of hard work. Most of the players are random shooters, and they would 7 out 2 or 3 rolls later. I wish i could just walk up and get on a hot roll but it never seems to happen. You got to work your but off just to stay afloat and hope they make it past the 5 count. Please let me know how you guys handle it. This happens every time i go. Let me know some of your guys stories. Thanks.

Hello StephenP,

First, congratulations on your winning session.

Second, you’re right – There’s nothing easy about winning at craps. But hopefully you’re passionate about the game and had fun winning!

Beecause winning is the most fun, after all… 🙂

Lastly, StephenP, as your skills improve and you begin to play with an edge, your thinking on random shooters rolls will change.

Eventually you’ll find yourself hoping their rolls will end quickly, as that will mean you’ll get the dice back in your skilled hands faster.

Betting on random shooters is a long-term losing proposition in this negative expectation game we all love.

However, you’re wise to be utilizing the 5-count as it will keep your "random shooter" losses to a minimum.

Does this make sense?

Hello StephenP,

I’m assuming you haven’t taken a class, seen I don’t see it in your profile. After you take one or two classes, and practice for 6-12 months, you will find that you can make money on yourself even with short rolls. Although Sandtrap and I average rolls in the teens (the long rolls are fewer and hard to come by), we almost always make money on rolls that are 10 and under.

When betting on random shooters, your best bet is one come bet (the lowest house edge), or second choice would be one place bet, after the 5 count. This places a minimum amount of money at risk. We only make that bet so as not to be at the table without betting and drawing attention to ourselves.

By betting a minimum on random shooters, you have more bankroll for your own rolls.

Goddess has it just right. Don’t waste your money on random rollers. Don’t get caught up the way other players get caught up in the game and eventually lose their money.

Controlled shooters bet on themselves.

Where I play they have a new policy that requires me to be active and playing in the game
or they will pass me over when it is my time to shoot.
Because of this policy change the five count had to be changed a little.

I now have a min pass line bet up on every shooter.
If and when the five count is passed add odds.
No other bet unless that point is made.
Next point the process starts over with no odds till a new five count is passed.
I don’t think the casino like it much but it meets their requirement to shoot.
That is all I care about so for now it is working fine.

There also are casinos that require we place a bet on the person shooting immediately before us. In that case, one come bet is still the best answer, even if you must make it before the 5 count.

You are so right. My discription is for a casino that will not let me shoot unless I am activly playing.
In their words that means a bet working at all times. Unfair, unreasonable… Yes. Their rule none the less
so some way to meet the rule and risk very little is the best I can do. The other local casinos that offer better rules are not playable tables for one reason or another.
