I find it amazing how the more I Pracrice and the more I read and I implement the methods of what I am learning that I can actually feel the difference between a good release a good grip and so on, I’m loving it!
I want to share my results of my practice sessions and hopefully get feedback as to wether or not I have set up a good practice regiment for my self.
I find that I am good for 200 throws before feeling a little bit tired so that’s usually what I throw per session. Also I primarily practice at this point on remaining on axis I use the ProTest training using the Hardway Set. I have recently reset my documented throw number since I built my complete practice rig and also changed my grip. As of this morning I have documented 1000 throws and have a 1:7 SRR. From what I read the idea is to keep that ratio after 20,000 throws we’ll see? What concerns me is, today I decided to do a simulated session keeping track of my wins & losses points and throws and finally my SRR. I threw 20 simulated turns in total, but I did not do well at all? I wound up throwing 125 throws and 7nd out a total of 13 times basing my betting on 1 unit bets I wound up losing -5.
When I just practice I do very well? I have been video taping and reviewing my sessions to compare how consistent I hit my spot and also how my dice react at the wall. I have videoed some awesome practice sessions. I don’t get what my issue is when I do the simulated sessions and do so horribly?

Sounds like you are doing things right just takes a little longer when you go another step.

I have read about how guys can say they can see and feel the dice "wobble" at first I was like " how the hell do they see that?" Now not only can I see it, I can feel a bad throw on release. It’s all practice… I’m sure of it. One thing I notice about me, not sure if you guys had this as well. But I notice I have different thumb placement depending on how the dice are flying, like if I feel they are not leaving my fingers smooth enough, I’ll slide my thumb up or down a bit. That should be ok no? Or should I work through it with my thumb in the same spot all the time?

Today I decided to video my set up my grip & release, and much like my golf swing the video helped allot. Turns out I’m releasing on somewhat of an angle.I guess because im only 5’9" in need to kinda get up on my tippy toes and lean ver the rail to get square, much like Dom described in one of their books. I’m glad I did that because I was practiceing the wrong way and my muscles would have gotten use to that and screwed me all up as I try to progress. Now all I’m doing is practiceing being square to my target and releasing properly, then I will pay attention to my set and the outcome. Turns out Craps has become more than just a fun game, it’s a science! Lol
Again thanks for all your input, it’s great to be able to discuss these things with others who are interested as much as I am. I would like to meet some people from my area and get together, I’m in NYC, I go to AC & recently Sands in PA. The tables in PA seem to real soft and bouncy not crazy about that.
