I am now using come betting almost exclusively and it really has made a difference in how much I win at the tables. But the other night I had a dealer who kept telling me that the place bets were better bets. She had no idea of the math of the game. She thought placing the 4 or 10 made sense because of the big payout. When I told her the bet had a 6.67 percent house edge she said that meant nothing.
How can a dealer be so stupid? Isn’t she supposed to understand the game? I was somewhat surprised and after talking to her about it I just gave up. She said she was right because she has dealt the game for a long time.
She reminds me of the old saying, something about a dentist with no teeth!

I will bet that 1 in 100 may know some of the math and maybe 1 in 10,000 knows it. Some here are players too and they still don’t know the math. It is sorta sad though.

They put there money together and came up with a "sure fire" betting method using hardest bets to make there fortune. As I remember they started out well with the Martingale betting but eventually the high house odds broke them.
They were all good as dealers, but not as players.

Sadder than a dealer not knowing the game are players who bet their hard-earned money without knowing the math of the game. That is tragic.

A coworker likes to play slots. I explained that if he wanted his money to last longer, he might want to put forth a little effort and play some table games (BJ, craps, SP21). He said when he goes to the casino, he goes to have fun. He didn’t want to have to THINK while he was playing. That was his form of escape.
To each his own, I guess.

Did I read books ? Not vary much into reading since high school but have you heard of a good one ?
By this time they have stopped asking or the table is to full for them to keep asking questions.
I prefer to let Bman do the talking.
I prefer is say as little as possible.I had one dealer tell me that he thought that I was new to the game. 😀 😀 I said nothing and just rolled. He went away and I never saw him again.
Good Rolling. 😀 😀
