My son is in his last year of High School
I am encouraging him to study accounting in college. Is this a field with lob prospects? How about the future will this be in demand? Any insight and/or suggestions are welcomed

Yes, I still think it is a good field to be in.
I remember telling people that I chose it because the IRS is the cheerleader for full employment for accountants.

Scan, I have a degree in accounting. I feel it is at he heart of most all businesses as record keeping touches all aspects of business. It is necessary for sales, management, etc. I did a little accounting (very little) and then went into the insurance business. The knowledge of acccounting has been most valuable to me for over 45 years in the insurance business .
