I am looking for some suggestions to help me keep my fingers together and square on my release. I have got most of the parts of my game under control but when I fail – seven out or have a weird throw it is due to not keeping my fingers together and twisting up my release. I have spent some time with the toothpicks and they seem to work when I practice but I have not been able to lock that part of my game down.
Any and all suggetions appreciated.

The mirror idea is also a good one, but a little more detail may be in order in how to use the mirror. Here is what Alligator Rose and I do.
We have a mirror that is 24" by 36". It fits easily at the end of the craps table just in front of the pyramids. Adjust the mirror so that you can see your entire swing–it will be pretty much staight up. For this drill don’t even bother to set the dice and don’t look at the spot where you want the dice to hit. You want to look at your hand and arm through out the entire swing. Is the back swing short and straight back? Is your forward swing straignt as well? Are you pulling up your shoulder as you swing forward—you don’t want to do this? Are your fingers horizonal at release? Do you flick your fingers at release? etc. You get the picture. Watch for a particular flaw in your throw and work on correcting it. Do’t try and correct everything at once as it is too much to think about.
If you have a practice rig you may want to insure that the receiving station is against a wall so the mirror will stand up. You may need to adjust the size of the mirror to insure it will fit in your practice rig.
The important thing for this drill is to watch your hand/arm through out the entire throw. Don’t worry, the dice may make a loud when they hit the mirror, but they will not break the mirror.
Hope this helps.

Don’t worry, the dice may make a loud sound when they hit the mirror, but they will not break the mirror.
I’m going to use my wife’s dressing room mirror.
