Craps

trip report Vegas

Spread the love

Just got back from vegas and had lots of fun. I sucked at tossing the whole weekend. My favorite part of the weekend was the airblade hand dryers, but I did not lose as much as I could have. My wife still bets traditionally, but with the 5 count I failed to lose money as often. I actually would have been down, but playing on the last day (against the rules) and betting on a random shooter who happened to throw a ton of craps I was able to get almost even by betting the field (also kinda bad). I did think the field was less evil then betting the horn. I did not beat the house but they did not destroy me either. I really need to get enough saved to hit the classes and get much better at throwing and bet better….
i did have one weird exp at a place, you can email me for the name, where i was immediately to the Right of the stick lady. I am right handed and not very big or tall but she kept insisting i was moving my arm across the C/E line when tossing, which would have only been possible if I was stretch armstrong. Do any other setters get harasses like this? I am a beginner and was hardly worth her huff. This was bad because I let her get to me and I accidentally tossed the dice off the table, where they hit a lady playing blackjack nearby, then I made my point (which was a ten) and left without taking the dice to the 7 out… I am young with alot to learn but have a feeling some of you were like me at one time…. gives me hope

Yep, comes with the territory. (I’ve heard in AC its strickly inforced)

I had a PC fuss to me about it once. Funny thing, the crew didn’t have a problem and it wasn’t bothering them. I overheard him trying to explain it to them after I cashed out. They, the crew, looked clueless and he looked frustrated.

Is it even physically possible? My wife and I came back after an hour and saw they had changed sticks so I grabbed my spot and tried again, but then she came back 5 minutes later. Determined to not upset her but not get upset I tried tossing from 2 positions away. My wife was standing next to me so I backed up and she moved out of my way so I could shoot from 2 ppl away. Seemed to work for all involved. I liked everything about the table except that one employee…

on this same trip I saw a table that had an electric counter which I thought was cool, but the one guy that got over 20 had 3 pit bosses staring him down (and possible overseeing the bets were paid accurately) but one boss picked up the dice to check it (though he never missed the wall nor did he ever cause the dice to leave the table) and then the guy 7ed out with 30 rolls… but the counter starts at 1 and hits 2 after the first roll which I thought was odd.

Do all the casinos in AC HAVE THESE COUNTERS. I have never been to a casino that has one . Will be going to AC in Sept.
Good Rolling. 😀

Do not feel bad about the stick thingy either if you where at the place where the eltronci machine is up front and the craps tables are back by the cage they are becoming not friendly.

Take the course and stop playing until you do. Why waste money. Smart to use the 5 count though.

Was in AC just recently and did not see any counters.

Here’s a tip, don’t go two people down just take half a step to your right. That should solve your problem with that stick person. Do you normally toss from Stick Right? I would never go to a spot I don’t have a confirmed advantage at. Just my 1 cents…
