Craps

Thank you, Dom. Bossier City trip report

Spread the love

Thanks again, Dom. I read the post to Stealthman about using the hard C grip.

The Diceman and I were heading to Bossier City and we got together for a practice session before we went. We both changed our grips to the hard C and changed our swing also.

We arrived in Bossier Sunday about 3 PM, rested for a while and went to check out the tables. Got our positions. Me SL1, Diceman SR 1. Up and down and all around. We bet the fire bet as our lottery ticket for 1 dollar. One CF hit 5 to the fire and one hit 4 to the fire. Left the table up a tad thanks to the firebet.

Monday, breakfast at 9:30. To the tables at 10:30. Good throws for a couple of hours. A little ahead. The throw is looking better and better, obviously getting used to it.

Now the stage is set. A full table. Diceman at SR 1. Me at SL 1 and Mr. B at SL 2 (a graduate of another school), however a really nice guy.

Diceman starts off with a really nice money making roll in the mid twenties. Then I get the dice and for the next 45 minutes I can do no wrong. I made 9 points ( 5 eights) but only 4 to the firebet. I start to colorup and Mr. B says, hey, what about my roll. So we stayed for another nice 20 something money maker.

The key to this whole story is the grip and swing. The dice landed soft, kissed the back wall and flat died. The Diceman and I have never thrown better. Especially with this consistency.

Again, thank you Dom. I think it has finally come together.

Doc

Nice roll, out of curiosity what did you change about your arm swing?

Any heat?

Eliminated all wrist action, using only a relaxed arm. Dice square with the table, about 6 inches of backswing. Dice turn about 2 or 3 times hitting flat, kissing the back wall and dying.

Absolutely no heat whatsoever.

No problems with the dice slipping out of that hard C grip?

Great report. That is what we teach in the classes. Thanks for a report showing that it works if you really work on it.

no problems with dice slippage. Went to a very hard C, then relaxed a bit.

Thanks Doc.

That’s good. Going to the hard C hasn’t been the easiest adjustment for me. I’ve been working on it.

Big Daddy Guy stormed SBC with that beautiful 45 roll! Just banging out number after number. It was a beauty to behold.

Our win streak is now at a wholesome three! And headed back in mid-August for a another try. We’ve had 7 trips this year, 6 winners and 1 reality check. Not bad, huh? The hard C grip is working while minimizing wrist action to reduce the energy level of the dice. Control of the dice requires a small adjustment on my part because of extra dry skin. BDG has urged me to report on this in another post. Stay tuned.

Again, CONGRATS Doc on a classic roll!
