I agree 100% with you. Total Idiots!  Why would They do that? If they have possibly developed the skill of dice control, wouldn’t they want to be quite about it. Stealth Mode is best! It’s almost like they want to be banned from the casinos. If that is the case, they then can brag “See I’ve been Banned” to their followers. This, therefore, justifies that they are good & the casinos are stopping me because I’m that good. So, for that lie they hope others will follow & drink their cool aide. I also have seen some of the new GTC students talking at the tables about their newly learned skill, even though they have a long way to go.

The new times we live in . Just saying I remember when the doney system was a good one and place bets how things change . Now I heard of my local casino with a loss for like 180 grd and no mention of dice control but betting the hops . How times have changed . ‘

I think I have responded with longer responses, but maybe you are right. You are also right that maybe the last video  I did was 5 years old. The thing is, and I ask myself this all the time, how many videos can I do that say the same thing  just to have more videos. These others have a video on 1000’s of ways to bet. Well there isn’t 1000’s of ways to bet to win.

Every bet on the craps table and every betting method out there is a losing proposition! Why? Because every bet  carries a negative house edge and you can not beat a game where every bet you make is negative, (except the come out roll on the pass line or come bet). As I have said before, there is only one way to beat this game and it has 3 components:

1. Learn a controlled throw to gain a positive edge when you are throwing

2. Calculate what your edge is when you are throwing the dice

3. Bet into that edge – meaning don’t make a bet that has a larger HE then your edge

 

So tell me, how many videos should I do that says the same thing? Jezzzzzz!

The point of this thread is not the amount of videos out there that are telling people wrongly how to beat this game, but doing these live videos in the casinos! I have been around doing this for 24 years and have taken all the slings and arrows, and 20+ years before that as a  card counter! Who are these young punks that think they can throw their skill at the casinos and not suffer consequences.

You are right – maybe I am an old guy and I have to get up with the times of social media, but i have too many other things to do than to spend my time being a narcissist with all these Facebook stuff saying look at me, I am having dinner!

I agree with you on all points. All  of these fly by nights are trying to invent the wheel when you have been there & done that. They all are stealing everything from you & trying  to pass it on as though they created it.

The internet is the worst thing to happen to the world but handy for many things.

My favorite YouTube channel at this time is watching people attempting to back their trailer down the boat ramp in Miami and not screwing it up getting the boat in the water. 

Just one more point on what @finisher mentioned.  The videos that Dom put out are five years old but there is no reason to reinvent what he has already put out there.

From what I understand those videos need to be rereleased  to Youtube in order to get exposed to the search engine. They will be buried in the new videos being released every day.

You could clip on an introduction “Howdy” to all the old clips and rerelease them. 

Just look at those young people doing reviews on Casinos rooms and food. They all do the same reviews on the same location every month. Jeez. 

I have watched the old GTC videos over the pass years over and over just to stay focused. We all are so busy with responsibilities that our game gets murky. We get sloppy. So those videos will always serve a purpose. It is grounding.

I remember fondly playing with the Hawaiians downtown on my first Vegas trip in 2019. I didn’t know who they were. I didn’t know they were Hawaiians. But everyone at the table knew each other and we’re expressing great joy with each other and the dealers. The dealers were relaxed because of this good vibe. The dealers treated me with smiles and learned my name quickly and addressed me by my name.  The tables were kinda bouncy but hey everyone was having fun.

I noticed the Casinos started letting them and others film at the tables because it was good business in the time of Covid. The Casinos lost a lot of business.  They let Slot players record all the time now. It’s free publicity.

I personally do not bother watching people throw dice in the Casino or playing poker or whatever.  I have my Craps books and notes to read.

Like I stated before, I’d rather watch some idiot on Youtube back his boat down the ramp and wait for him to screw it up.

I am glad that I don’t have to deal with them on the water . If they  are that bad just think how they are when they add power to what they do on the water .

The teaching with GTC have changed during the time from when they started just to let you know .When I took the class there was not much talk about betting and you needed to not practice before the class because they only teach one grip in first class .

If I had know that it was that way I think I would have gotten more out of it and been more prepared . I understand that the classes are much better now and this site has gotten better . When I first got on this site most would not give you the time of day if you had not taken the class .

When Rose and Doc took the class over 16 years ago it was indeed mostly about the grip and the throw.  These have been refined/improved a little over time as they should.  If there was any instruction about betting so many years ago, we don’t really remember it.  As best we can remember the 6 and 8 were the only place numbers discussed since the house vig is the lowest  of all the place/buy box numbers. We never bet the hard ways or any of the prop numbers in the center of the table.  WAY WAY too much house vig.    

At this time we are 110% committed to pass line/come betting with odds.  We take as many odds as our bankroll allows.  We are very conservative.  Once we get into a good roll with 8 to 9 paydays we will begin to press our bets.  Reread the post on the “Big Skinny” for progressive betting.

Do we ever lose with a given turn with the dice—OF COURSE but not much since we are very conservative.  Over the past few years we are definitely in the positive. 

Unfortunately with the covid problem and some health issues with Doc we have only been to a casino a few times in the past few years.  Hope to catch up in August for the GTC class.

I just wanted to add one thing to Doc’s post. (Rose here) You’ve got to learn how to bet.  You can have the absolutely most beautiful toss but if you can’t bet correctly the profits will be lower over time.   

Doc and Rose also have an advantage that we can practice together and critique each other from time to time.  So it would be to your advantage to come to a class weekend for a refresher class, advanced class or an elite video.

Rose is on the money about betting. I didn’t make money when I first started because of a small bank to gamble with and poor betting practices. 

The funny thing is I became a sharp shooter because I wasn’t willing to put a lot of money at risk when I first started out. LOL

Dr Crapology helped me understand my grip and I just moved up in my ability.

My wife and I have a three hour drive home to discuss our post Casino play.  We work out what was useful and what didn’t work. I also write down my thoughts on what I did right and mistakes we made on a note pad.

I take exception to this – First when advice is FREE that is about what it is worth.

But really take exception to “my way the only way” – You know I could do a video on every betting system out there like these others do, but that isn’t the way you beat this game with a betting system. There isn’t a system to beat this game because every bet on the table is a negative bet and you can not make a negative into a positive! So what would I be telling people that watch my videos – How not to beat this game and play the Iron Cross? I can’t do that!

Golden Touch is all about the math and the physics of this game and the math tells anyone that wants to learn that the game can’t be beaten with a system of betting. I don’t know why this concept is so hard to understand. If you place the 6/8 you are making a bet that is -1.5%, if you place the 5/9 you are making a bet that is -4% – tell me, how do you make a negative into a positive?????? Only one way – to have a greater edge when you are throwing the dice then the negative edge of the bet! And now lets say you have an edge that is 3% when you are throwing the dice – you have to be an idiot to place the 5/9 that is 4% against you! Man it is so simple math!

To beat this game take 3 things:

1. Learn the controlled throw

2. Calculate your edge when you are throwing

3. Don’t make a bet that is greater than your edge

So yes, we teach to be a come bettor – Why? Because it is a bet that has the lowest house edge against you. By just taking 1X odds you are lowering the house edge to .87%, UNDER 1% and lower than pacing the6/8 that has an edge of 1.5%. Now tell me is that so hard to understand and BTW do you think any of those other so called experts even know what the house edge is without looking it up?

Yes, we we first started teaching we didn’t talk that must about betting, and there are many reasons for that, but when we changed direction in GTC, by background is math and I knew that betting had to be stressed. Enough said about that.

Grip – There is only one way to grip a baseball to throw a fastball or a sinker and there is only on way to grip the dice that will give you the greatest way to keep the dice on axis. Now depending on the student, we might try to alter it a little bit to be a little more comfortable but that is it. Why do these people want to learn so many other ways to grip? Because they are losers and are trying to find the Holy Grail! The take a lesson from someone to show them how to throw from the end of the table. Why? Because they won’t put in the time or have the patience to wait for their spot to open up and throw from a shorter distance. Again, losers who will never make as much money as they can if they put in the time and had the patience to wait for their spot to open up – and these others are just peddling this crap! I CAN”T DO THAT. Yes, this is a business and I want it to grow – (BTW we have been doing this for 14 years and where is everyone else that was out there when we started) – but I will not teach someone on how to throw that will not work. I have integrity.

Then there are videos teaching about the 401G and the 5-count – That is our concepts and GTC doesn’t get any credit for it. Where would all these other video people be without Golden Touch that started this revolution? A little thank you would be nice.

Unless things have changed, I notice the throwing positions at the table. Distance doesn’t seem to matter. Am I missing something?  There appears to be a limited number of downtown casinos in LV permitting the videos. All the casino games are in play and someone must be making enough money from their Youtube channels for it to be the new thing. Almost every day there is a new craps video.

Right these people are throwing from all over the table. In away that might be a good thing because you really can’t get an edge like that.

yes, they are making money from their videos. YouTube pays a commission, that is why you see ads in the middle of them. GTC gets paid off of their videos as well. My point is that I can’t do that many videos because I want students to WIN and you can’t win by making stupid bets on the table

Maybe you need to do a series of videos explaining why betting correctly is the only smart way to win in the long term. Explain why you can be king for a day, but you will end up a chump over time. If you are one and done, then nothing matters. It is important for you to market yourself as the craps guru. As you pointed out, social media has changed the rules of marketing yourself vis a vis gambling. If you craft the videos the way you want, you can recruit students for GTC.

Dom since you are banned from most and your photo has been seen all over then why not . I think that if you can make a deal with one casino it would be a win win for both . First even to see Dom in live action . I think that would be a winner in itself .

If that does not work out you could make a video about how you tried  to get the casinos to let you and they said NO.

As far as distance goes on some videos the players shoot from their spot even if they have to move over to get it . It depends on what the casino will allow . I have seen this happen . the girls seem to like S1 or L1 . As far as that goes there is one on Lady’s night out were they did way better then the guys .

     Everything I see about craps being posted on Facebook is very disturbing. The naming of casinos and the total disregard and disrespect for the groundbreakers that made this a real game. It is a whole different ball game with these utube videos taking live recordings in the casino and just baiting the casinos to respond. The truth is not very popular amongst these groups and either is the math. 

     Every gambler out there is reinventing the math and the physics of the toss. I’m with GTC because I feel part of the integrity that has made this group what it is. I see all the changes out there and I have a tough time accepting what I see. I’m not changing my game and I’m not out there at this point in my life trying to convince others. 

     When I see the betting strategies that these other groups engage in vs. what we teach, I get it. These are real gamblers talking. I guess I’m just not capable of making sense out of something that doesn’t make sense to me. They want action and in betting this way expose themselves to tremendous risk and sometimes reward. I think the GTC way is just not exciting enough for most. They want to reinvent the math of the game. House edge no longer has any meaning when the moon is full. 

     That’s where truth vs. fiction ends up. I focus on technique and practice. I only play when conditions are right. Last time I played, it meant playing very little. I was okay with that because I knew the movie. I also enjoy swimming, eating, and ice cream, as well as going for a walk. I don’t play for a certain player status. I can already buy anything I want. I’m not spending two grand on your free steak dinner. Thanks but no thanks. In todays world many know the cost of everything and the value of nothing.

     I can’t change who I am and I know GTC can’t change who it is, without losing its integrity, and that’s why I’m still a proud member Dom. The world is changing. Look what a great job were doing with all of these changes. Lol.

@DoughBoy – AWESOME POST!  I agree with your comments 100%. We know, by experience, and the the, GTC works -period. It is NOT a Genie in a bottle, where you will always win after you take one course and immediately head to the tables. GTC teaches a controlled throw and betting that focuses on the lowest house edge bets. Occasionally, I see random shooters toss a big hand, bet hops, All-Tall-Small, Fire Bet, Repeater, Hardways, and make a lot of money, however, it is truly an exception.  One of my favorite comments is “…every Dog has his day.”  Many years before I started with GTC, I threw a 62. It was at a Casino in Primm on our way home from LV, probably 20+ years ago.  I had NO IDEA how it happened. I was a random shooter, and it was “my day.” I have not had a 62 or better hand since that day. BUT, since joining GTC, my shot has gotten better, more predictable, and it is more fun playing. I think I made around $4,000 on that 62 hand many years ago. I take $4,000+ off the game more often since learning and PRACTICING my shot at home. From an investment standpoint, my earnings on my GTC investment have been spectacular. Sure, we all have bad days at the table, but, we don’t have to wait for “every Dog had his day” to have a great day at the table, AND, we will have more great days.

YouTube and TikTok are filled with videos on everything, and casino craps is no exception. I started watching Brian Christopher play slot machines in 2017 during lunch before I retired from a large oil & gas company. People walking by would ask, out of curiosity, “You’re playing slot machines online?” I explained that no, I was playing vicariously by watching someone else play slot machines on YouTube. None understood why anyone found that entertaining.  Christopher had to secretly record his videos. Now, 5 years later, Christopher is welcomed by casinos all over the strip. He even has a whole section Downtown, and a slot game fashioned after him. Many casinos have recognized the value of free advertising afforded by videographers.

I, also, have watched the Hawain Craps Shooters on YouTube broadcast their games from a number of Downtown and off-strip casinos. They usually lose money, even with long rolls, because they both bet across the points and seldom press their bets. But they have a good time doing it.

I like to watch Color-Up try out yet another betting strategy sent by his viewers. He is an avowed random shooter with no confidence in there being any dice-handling skill to the game. Yet, each show he unintentionally destroys yet another betting strategy he tries out – that’s very instructive.

To date, I have never seen anyone on any of the online videos throw the dice in a manner that had an on-axis tight group with a good landing and quick stop. Every time, the dice action has randomness.

It would be nice to see a good shooter online. But, as Dom said, if you have a good game, why advertise it? What’s the payback?

Look up videos by Pro Craps with slow motion throws by good shooters . They keep the dice together but in slow motion it shows what happens when even a good throw hits the back wall .

I really debated this morning with removing the names of these websites from the two posts above. I didn’t might still thinking about it because it really bothers me that these are being viewed. They don’t teach anything except how to lose money.

I could demonstrate why the Iron Cross can’t make you a winner, but a few throws on a craps table doesn’t prove anything. these systems that you are talking about takes at the minimum 5000 trials to make any kind of statistical anyalisis, and maybe that is my problem – I am all about the math and statistical anyalisis. If I threw on a video 10X’s and showed it didn’t work, what dies that prove? Nothing. There weren’t enough trials.

Since people are going to watch these video’s  .. I really wish people would make a video of Craps etiquette.   Today for example.. I finally get the dice start on a great roll made a couple points and doing well.  In the middle of a roll some guy walks up and toss’s 300 on the table while the button is white during my roll.   SO frustrating.  Well you guess it next roll 7.   I just got my chips together and colored up.  

 

Don’t buy in if the BUTTON is WHITE.  pretty simple.
