Craps

Memphis Class

Spread the love

Just had a great experience in the recent GTC refresher course in Memphis.  I attended this class hoping get answers to questions I had about my grip, arm swing, and more.  Practices had become frustrating because I had started to feel I was wasting my time practicing the wrong way.  After this class my questions were answered.

All the instructors were extremely helpful in identifying and then correcting problems in my game. For example, Dom gave me great advice to lower my grip on the dice to accommodate for my hand shakiness. Daryl “No Field Five” provided very beneficial guidance on my throw–maintain a loose grip, reach, and keep the hand in a “C” position during follow through.  David “Mr. Pip” taught me grip and stance exercises.  All instructors emphasized the importance of relaxation as well as many other important and useful tips and techniques.

Driving home from Memphis, my wife and I decided to stop at a casino along the way.  Although I was a little apprehensive about shooting craps due to driver’s fatigue, I was anxious to try what I had just learned in class.  During my play, I worked hard to apply many of the new techniques.  I also worked hard to relax. And I started seeing the recent advice working, having a couple of my turns with the dice in the 10 to 15 throw range. I was betting very conservatively, and even with come betting after the 5 count on the random rollers at the table, I ended up ahead of my buy in.

Now it’s time to practice, practice, practice with the proper techniques to keep improving my GTC game.

Thanks to all the instructors and fellow students at Memphis for a great learning experience!
