One mistake that I have realized I am making in retrospect this season is that I am spending too much time at the tables. This will draw too much attention.
( but man I have so much fun )
I want to walk up to an empty table and fill my rack in thirty minutes. No more than an hour. Fatigue will set in.

I am guilty of to long at table big time . When I go I get to table when it opens and take a brake for dinner . What no lunch . Yes WE only eat 2 meals while at the casinos . Then after dinner I go back to table but most of the time have to wait for my spot to open up . That may take some time . I just put 20.00 in a machine close by and play one .25 at a time . One time I won 326 free games while waiting . I think I made a whole 60.00 with that 20.00 .
I hope that I will start spending less time at the table and leave when ahead . I use to throw from any were and have gotten away from that .
This is a journey .

I’m in this club also. I hope once AZ has live craps, and IF the table conditions are good. I can begin to limit my play time.
Currently the closest action I have is a 5 hour drive, causing me to go hard when I get the chance to get on the table.
Having live action closer will hopefully help me limit my play, I know when it first starts here in AZ it will be difficult to get on the table. Especially SL1.

I agree with you . There are a lot of players that live here some are just visitors for the winter . I hope it will be great when I get back .

Try this – we give ourselves three turns with the dice and then we leave …. well unless we want one more. BUT no more than 4Times. Try that

Dom I need to do this . Still have a question about this . If you are the only player and not tired will you still leave after 3 rolls or 4 ? I say this since this has happened to me several times . I am happy when another player comes to table to give me a break and I also can go to rest room .
I will try harder to limit my time at the tables . When I get back from seeing the Grd Kids it will be 3 months or more of no throwing or playing . So it may not happen first trip back . But will try .
I place one dollar on top of my place bet and one on side for dealers . When I get a win I add one dollar to their odds . It seems that when I get to full odds on their bet or a little after the 7 comes up . Some times I make the point for the win and start over with not having to take that dollar out of my rack for them .They like that . Are happy for the place bet .
Good Rolling.

Well Finish to be honest with you I almost NEVER go to an empty table for your reasons of liking a break between my rolls so I guess my answer is yes, I pretty much follow the guidelines I stated above.
As far as the tip is concerned, I NEVER place a bet. I always have a $1 tip on my pass line bet and a $1 on the line for the dealers. I always give them odds, but I like your idea of giving them odds after you collect a bet

Finisher–We too, like to take a short break between turns with the dice. However we also donot like to be at a table with 8 to 10 players and we get the dice after hour to an hour and a half between our turn with the dice. .
But let’s talk about practice. Let’s say that Rose goes shopping and I am at home by myself practicing at our craps table. Obviously there is no one else to give me a a short break between turns with the dice. Example, I have a quick seven out with only 2 or 3 throws of the dice. At home we simply start over and get determined we will take our time with each throw of the dice.
However in the casino if one of us is the only player at the table, with a quick 7 out, we will take take a bath room break even if we don’t need to. This seems to help us get “our head on straight for our next turn with the dice.

@dr-crapology I agree with you stepping away. It is not uncommon to have waited an entire afternoon after walking from a table before locking in on another and having a good round. We have to be patient.
And Dom’s statement about 3 turns rolling the dice makes perfect sense. No nonsense.

Great discussion .. Lots of great ideas. It’s just when your so far from live gaming I try to cram a lot of play in a short amount of time. — hoping once AZ has live craps I’ll learn to follow this great advice and if I’m lucky enough to get on a table with @finisher him SR1 me SL1 .. Limit it to 3 turns unless we have a lot of BLACK chips in the rack them maybe 4. Just give me the wise guy sign @finisher if we are going for 4 .. ha ha

@jackd If you don’t live near a Casino then just play all you want and your bank will handle. I have played with the same hundred bucks all afternoon at an empty table enjoying the day.
One day years ago I told my wife I was going down to the Casino for lunch. Well she called me at six wondering if I was coming home. hehe
So don’t sweat it. I want to have fun too.
