If you ever stayed in Las Vegas at the location favored by Bugsy Siegel this story will sound familiar. On my first trip to Vegas I was returning to my room from a long night playing the Casinos downtown. I was wiped. I was ready for shut-eye. The stairs to the rooms require you to walk by the craps tables.
You can’t walk by and not jump in when your favored spot is open. Before you know it a couple of hours pass by and you are having the time of your life with a full table of Craps shooters. Ya, it happened to me. Great memory. 2019
Made the drive this week for a 24 hour visit to the Casino.
I brought a large bag of sandwiches and a bag of dice to throw in the room. It surprised me how many sandwiches it takes to keep a Craps players fire stoked.
The (slate like table base) picks didn’t work for me. I can handle a bouncy table but not those drop dead survices. The afternoon crowd didn’t work for me either.
I played the long table I have had success on prior trips with to unwind from the drive. Stick right was open next to the stick. I was chatting it up with the box while having some success but I was distracted by the chit chat so I took a walk.
I used the shower and jet tub and that almost ended my day. Called my wife at 8P.M. and told her I may just wake up the next day after that relaxing soak. ha
Another sandwich and a few cokes enabled me to go down and check out the action.
I played one table a short time on one table and moved to my last pick of the night. I settled into stick-left for a session that would be the most fantastic time with the most fantastic players. These guys were awsome. My shooting came alive. How could it not when in the company of the level of shooters gathered.
Called it a night at 1:30 A.M..
I checked out early the next day and threw my sandwich bag in the car. I had to check out the action before leaving. Grabbed stick-left and had another fantastic play for two hours before leaving.
My grip and toss was right on. Practice payed off after this long year.

The movie test – when everything is right at the table and you have seen that movie before. Great Idea to post an excerpt of my new book on another thread
