I am writing this Friday evening from Windsor Ontario. They closed our casino mid march and it is no where close to opening. Well actually they have opened it to a maximum of 50 people(The casinos max capacity is 10,000) and there are no table games.
Shortly after they closed the casino they closed the land border to Detroit and it remains closed for the foreseeable future.
I have not been able to play craps since March.
I REALLY CANNOT WAIT TO GO TO VEGAS
So I was able to book a flight from Toronto to Vegas. Originally a perfect direct flight. Then they cancelled that and advised me that I could fly to Vancouver then Vegas
Then they cancelled that flight and now I am going from Toronto to Calgary to Denver then to Vegas. If all goes well i should arrive late Wednesday night.
I promise to never complain again when I roll a seven at a really bad time.
I promise to never complain again when some guy throws his money on the table in the middle of my roll.
I promise to never complain again when I cannot get a waitress to bring me a nice fresh beer because there are no waitresses to be found anywhere.
Just one beer of course because I do not want to throw the dice directly against the back wall or throw them so high they bounce off the table. Surprising how it is always a seven when I make a bad throw. Or is it my imagination ? Well maybe I can have 2 beers then at least it won’t be so painful.

And when I get back to Canada I will likely have to quaranteen for two weeks. My wife thinks I am insane so she called the doctor and tried to make an appointment for me…just to talk. Oh yeah She could not get an appointment for two months because they only see one patient an hour and then have to sterilize the office.
Thanx to Dom who sent me a beautiful full size 12 foot table I have been practicing and playing simulated games at least one to two hours per day.
So I am ready to play and I…………..
REALLY REALLY REALLY CANNOT WAIT TO GO TO VEGAS!
P.S I will be staying on Freemont street . I will be arriving Wednesday night and not leaving until Tuesday Morning. I will rent a car so I can get around and maybe play in some of the surrounding communities. If anyone feel like sending me a private email with some playable casinos that would be very much appreciated.

I also frequented the same casino and was disappointed when it was shut down in March. I enjoyed reading your post. I am from Toronto and usually drive or take Via to get there. I’ve always done well there. Good conditions to play and the dealers are also very good. My wife and I used to go usually once every couple of months with free rooms. We are also looking forward to playing in Vegas when conditions improve. Thanks for sharing.

Hope to see you!!! Agreed that the airlines are a little messed up. I booked direct from Chicago, and my return home Sunday night got cancelled and they’re making me fly to Newark, then back to Chicago!

Rose and Doc, had a similar experience as our plane reservations with SWA had to be changed twice. Whenever possible we like to only fly on non stop flights–no changing places with a stop that extends the time of a flight from 2 hours and 20 minutes to 5 to 6 hours. We did have to make the sacrifice of extending out stay in Vegas by one day from returning on Monday to returning on Tuesday.
Should be a great class as we have a bunch of students.
