carrying chips around in the casino

Rose and Doc often carry around $200 around in $25 chips. Why? If we come up to a table and a known GTC shooter is throwing the dice we can get in the game immediately with out throwing cash on the table and bringing the game to a halt. If we need more chips we can always buy in for more at a break in the game such as a 7 out or the thrower makes his point.

If we know someone at the table we can also "borrow" a few chips and settle up at the next break in the game.

What do others do GTC players do?.

Aren’t we supposed to use the 5 count even if we know the thrower is a dice control person?

Even after I took the class I waited for the right time most of the time .I WAS AT A CASINO just after taking the class and saw nickanight playing .I did not even bye in just watched . I just don’t want to slow the roll down period . Were I play they only have one table open most of the time .
So it is not like you have a lot of tables to choose from .
Good Rolling. 😀 🙂

I’m with Doc. If I know that I’m going to play some time during my stay at a particular house, I’ll stop at a BJ table and buy 2 or 3 hundo to keep in my pocket for that last minute opportunity. That is not disruptive to the flow and if you place bets when the action has halted for a crew change or the dreaded 7, nothing wrong.

To address the 5 count issue, that is correct you should wait out the 5 count. Unless you know the shooter and know him to be capable, don’t go hog wild but bet on his/her proven abilities.
