The simple answer is a big yes and it will happen to all of us from time to time. Why do Major League Baseball teams have batting coaches and professional golfers have swing coaches that they work with the planers on a regular basis.
Here is what happened to Doc. About a 10 days ago he was having a terrible time with the dice. He was getting sevens to the point that his SRR was probably a 3. In addition, many of the 7’s were 6-1 and the dice were going sideways as they bounced on the table, going to the left corner–Doc throws from stick left. I am very fortunate to have a live in GTC instructor–Alligator Rose!!! I asked her to look at my throw–after all the money I bet is half hers 🙂 She watched one throw, said nothing, left the table, went to get our Ipad with the SloPro app and made a video. I made another throw that she took a picture. She said "come here and look." It was obvious–at the end of the throw as the dice were rolling off my finger tips, I was shifting my wrist to the right causing the dice to land crooked and rolling all over the place. I could not see this flaw and had no idea I had let this creep into my throw.
An easy fix now that I was aware of this problem. We both also noticed in the video that the die coming off of my ring finger had a slight wobble. Obviously my thumb was not centered on the 2 dice. Again a simple correction. Since this diagnosis was made my SRR has averaged in the area of 8.5. Will I now win every time I have the dice?–probably no, but I will win more than I lose.
So if you are having trouble with your throw, do come to a class weekend and take a refresher course or an elite video. That way instructors can take a look for you and get the correction ingrained into your muscle memory. We have 5 great classes scheduled for 2020.
Hope to see you soon.

When they land at that angle they tend to kick towards the dealer side of the table.
To correct this flaw one needs to be sure to bring the dice straight back and forward on the swing with the dice level to the table and parallel to the back wall.
Think about your arm traveling between two railroad tracks, straight back and forward.
This is a flaw that one can self diagnose once you know what to look for. Especially those not fortunate to have their own private instructor to look at their throw.
